Copyright and takedown

People share photos, videos and writing on iLIVV. Members must only upload content they own or have permission to use. If something on iLIVV copies your work, tell us and we will review it.

How to send a notice

Members can also file a notice from the Support page by choosing “Copyright notice”. Anyone can email info@ilivv.africa with the subject “Copyright notice” and include:

  • Your name and how to contact you.
  • The link (URL) to the post, photo or video on iLIVV.
  • A description of your original work, and a link to it if it is online.
  • A statement that you believe in good faith the use is not allowed by you, your agent or the law.
  • A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that you are the owner or are allowed to act for the owner.

What we do

We review each complete notice. If the content appears to infringe, we remove or disable it and tell the member who posted it. The member can reply if they believe the removal was a mistake, and we will consider what they say. Members who repeatedly post content they do not have the right to use can lose their accounts.

Please be accurate

A notice that falsely claims ownership can cause real harm to the member whose content is removed. Only send a notice if you are the rights owner or are allowed to act for them.
